Textiles, such as blankets, rugs, numnahs and bandages that come into direct contact with your horses are subject to a lot of wear and tear. Dust, dirt and sweat all become ingrained in them, and if not properly laundered can lead to bacterial growth and fungal skin conditions as well major irritation of the animal.
