Clean Machine (UK) Ltd Installs the First of the New Miele 8 Series Dryers

Following the change of ownership at a local residential care home, our sales department were invited to carry out an appraisal of the on site laundry.

It was found that the home had enough wash capacity but was unable to launder the single duvets used on the resident's beds, as the washing machines were too small. This deficiency was quickly resolved by replacing one of the smaller washers with a Miele PW6080 8Kg Washer which has an 80 litre drum.

It was also determined that even before the installation of a larger washer that the laundry was woefully short of drying capacity. This can lead to cross infection due to clean, wet laundry being stored alongside dirty laundry.

The site was won over by the features and benefits of the new Miele PT8253 electric dryer. They were particularly impressed by:

  • Reduced energy consumption  - due the automatic moisture sensor that stops the drying process once the required moisture level is reached.
  • Reverse action - This help reduce tangling ensuring even drying and reduced processing time
  • Ducted air inlet - All dryers need inlet air which is normally provided by leaving a large hole in the laundry wall. With all 10kg and above Miele dryers it is possible to duct the air into the dryer which means that whatever the weather conditions outside they will have no effect on the working environment in the laundry.

A Clean Machine Sales representative liased with the site's electrician to ensure that the correct electrical supplies were installed

On the agreed date the Clean Machine's installation team arrived on site to:

  • Remove and dispose of the old machines in an environmental manner.
  • To make modifications to the building services, including the installation of ducting for both inlet and exhaust air.
  • To install and commission the appliance and finally instruct the laundry staff on the correct operation of the new machines.

Having now had time to use the new equipment, the home management are delighted with the speed and efficiency with which they can process their resident's laundry
